The visionary team, led by Jacopo Leoni, aims to create an agile "sky yacht" that moves with the elegance of a traditional airship but with the speed and functionality of modern aircraft. Although still in its early stages, the project is fueled by a commitment to technical excellence, making this airborne dream closer to reality. Inside, the Air Cube takes cues from the luxurious design of the Cube Houseboat, which boasts amenities comparable to high-end hotels. A skylight over the spacious bedroom offers stunning stargazing views by night and floods the space with natural light during the day, enhancing the floating apartment’s comfort and ambience. Communal areas are designed for relaxation and socializing, with the living and dining spaces flanking the entrance and a small kitchen providing essentials for on-board dining. At the front, the captain’s wheelhouse doubles as an observatory deck, giving travellers panoramic views, whether navigating through water or air. As the Air Cube transforms from boat to airship, it offers a unique travel experience - hovering and gliding more like a hot-air balloon than a plane, emphasising leisurely comfort over speed. Its exterior design resembles a giant clam shell, sheltering the apartment beneath. Though still in concept form, the Air Cube team is refining plans for propulsion and engine placement, focused on bringing this sky yacht vision to life.
