Headline: RAW VIDEO: Bentley Unveils Futuristic Electric Concept Car

Caption: Bentley has revealed a futuristic new electric concept car that’s a major departure from its recent designs. The EXP 15 references Bentley’s early 20th-century Grand Tourers, particularly the iconic 1930 Speed Six Gurney Nutting Sportsman coupé, also known as the "Blue Train" car – famed for beating the express Le Train Bleu from Cannes to Calais. Its long, sweeping bonnet, upright grille and rear-set cabin evoke this historic model, yet the sleek surfacing, active aerodynamics and digital lighting details place EXP 15 firmly in the 21st century. The concept is not destined for production but provides a glimpse of Bentley’s future, including cues for its first all-electric production car, expected soon. Director of Design Robin Page said: “The beauty of a concept car is not just to show a new design language, but to test where the market is going.” Inside, EXP 15 continues its innovative streak. Created using virtual reality, the three-seat cabin combines Bentley’s traditional luxury with high-tech digital flair. The driver’s side features a conventional door, while the passenger side showcases twin upward-opening coach doors and a swivelling seat for seamless entry. The interior’s materials are as exclusive as the design: British-made jacquard silk, 3D-printed titanium and Fox Brothers wool all contribute to a sustainable yet indulgent feel. One highlight is the ‘Mechanical Marvel’, a digital-mechanical centrepiece that can display key information or simply serve as a captivating object. The dashboard itself transforms from a touchscreen interface to a serene wooden surface, part of Bentley’s philosophy of "magical fusion" between physical and digital design. EXP 15’s five new exterior design principles – such as ‘Upright Elegance’, ‘Endless Bonnet Line’, and ‘Prestigious Shield’ – aim to define future Bentleys. The lighting is equally forward-thinking, with diamond-patterned LED headlamps and rear lights, while deployable spoilers and an active diffuser underline its aerodynamic capability. Though technical specifications remain undisclosed, the car is envisaged with a fully electric, all-wheel-drive powertrain promising long-range performance. Page added: “It’s almost like wearing a beautiful mechanical watch on one wrist and a digital smartwatch on the other – the best of both worlds.” The EXP 15 represents not a nostalgic nod but a bold stride towards a sustainable luxury future – muscular in stance, meticulous in materials, and majestic in spirit.
