The Honda 0 SUV and Honda 0 Saloon are slated for a North American launch in 2026, followed by global markets including Europe and Japan. At the heart of the 0 Series is Honda’s newly developed ASIMO operating system (OS), named after the company’s iconic humanoid robot. The ASIMO OS promises “ultra-personal optimisation,” leveraging over-the-air updates to continuously enhance user experiences. It integrates vehicle systems, including automated driving, infotainment, and advanced driver assistance, into a unified platform. The Honda 0 SUV, a mid-size EV, is based on Honda’s dedicated EV architecture. Inspired by the Space-Hub concept from CES 2024, the SUV focuses on spacious interiors and cutting-edge digital user experiences. Features include a steer-by-wire system for superior handling and next-generation technologies to create a dynamic, “ever-advancing” vehicle space. Production is set to begin at Honda’s EV Hub in Ohio in early 2026. The Honda 0 Saloon is the flagship of the new series, boasting a sleek wedge-shaped design and a low-slung cabin that prioritises both style and spaciousness. Incorporating Level 3 automated driving capabilities and the ASIMO OS, it offers a personalised, futuristic driving experience. Production is expected to follow the SUV later in 2026. Building on its achievements with Level 3 automated driving in the Honda Legend, Honda aims to expand its “eyes-off” driving technologies across diverse conditions. New AI advancements will enhance situational learning and cooperative behaviour, further reducing traffic collisions and improving road safety. Honda also announced a partnership with Renesas Electronics to develop a high-performance system-on-chip (SoC) for its vehicles. The innovative SoC will power a centralised architecture managing key systems, offering superior AI capabilities while maintaining energy efficiency. Honda is advancing EV charging infrastructure with a commitment to stress-free mobility. Collaborating with IONNA, an eight-automaker joint venture, Honda will support a network of 30,000 high-quality charging stations by 2030. Additionally, its Smart Charge service will optimise home charging, leveraging renewable energy to lower costs and minimise environmental impact. With these developments, Honda’s 0 Series aims to redefine electric mobility, blending innovative technology, sustainability, and personalised user experiences.
