Owen stars in a new advert for the brand, in which he hilariously details his morning routine, featuring his dog Waffles. Speaking to People about his latest project, the Marley & Me star explained why he was keen to work with the brand. "It's actually my first time endorsing a brand here in the US, and I guess we can't take that decision lightly," he said. "I think people like a product that does what it says it'll do, and a brand that's doing good things and is led by good people. And luckily California Naturals has all of those qualities.". Owen comically added, "Becoming a hair influencer was not necessarily on my career wishlist, but I'm proud to add it to my CV.". Elsewhere in the interview, the star revealed how he instructs his stylist to do his hair for red-carpet events. "'Surprise me, surprise me. Wait, no. Don't surprise me. Actually, just read my mind.'
