Headline: UNCAPTIONED: Mötley Crüe announce Vegas residency

Caption: Mötley Crüe announce Vegas residency. The news comes 10 years after the rockers publicly announced their retirement from touring. The shows kick off on 28 March and run through to 19 April. ”We were wrong in retiring, obviously," bassist and songwriter Nikki Sixx told People magazine. ”We want to just relook at our songs that people have been asking us to play for a long time. We want to do something special for Vegas.” The Mötley Crüe line-up includes Sixx, singer Vince Neil, drummer Tommy Lee and guitarist John 5. All are family men now and Sixx says their wild days are in the past. ”Those days have come and gone. I think that the life that we lived and the experiences that we got to experience are not repeatable for any generation in the future. For us, it's about moving forward. We don't really want to be living in the past.” A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales of the Las Vegas residency will be donated to Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth.
