Submitting an Application for Naturalization (N-400) will be $725, up from $640. If biometric work is required, the price will be $760. The overall price for submitting the "green card" packet, which includes everything required for legal permanent status, will increase from $1,760 to $3,005. The USCIS' new guidelines also expand eligibility for lower rates. The cost of the N-400 form will only rise from $320 to $380 for those who earn "below 400% of the federal poverty guideline," 'The Hill' reports.
