The lawsuit alleges April met the music mogul in 1994, when she was a college student at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and he volunteered to mentor her. However, she alleged, while Diddy, 54, initially "love-bombed her" and "showered her with gifts and flowers", the relationship then took a dark turn. ”What Mr. Combs displayed as kind gestures quickly manifested into an aggressive, coercive and abusive relationship based on sex.” The lawsuit described a number of incidents in which April alleged the rapper sexually assaulted her. She also claimed Diddy would "threaten to blacklist her in the industry if she tried to mess with him in any way”. After April attempted to cut ties with the rapper, she claimed Diddy "became angry, threatening and forceful" in his interactions with her. She also said he "was not good at accepting rejection”. In addition to multiple lawsuits accusing him of sexual misconduct, Diddy is also currently the subject of an ongoing federal investigation into sex trafficking.
