The experiment had a drastic effect on both his physical and mental health. showcasing the dangers of a poor diet and spreading awareness on the unhealthy nutritional content from fast food restaurants. The film was nominated for best documentary at the 2005 Academy Awards. Spurlock also directed "Where in the World Is Osama bin Laden?," "The Greatest Movie Ever Sold," and "Mansome".
