Caption: British Airways Partners with Elon Musk’s Starlink to Offer Free In-Flight Wi-Fi. British Airways has announced plans to provide all passengers with free, high-speed Wi-Fi on its flights, beginning early next year. The airline has partnered with Starlink, the satellite internet service owned by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, to deliver “reliable and lightning-fast” connectivity. Passengers across economy, business, and first class will soon enjoy download speeds of up to 450 Mbps — fast enough to stream movies or work online without lag. Until now, BA only offered complimentary Wi-Fi to first-class travelers, with others paying between £1.99 and £21.99 depending on usage. The Starlink rollout will cover more than 500 aircraft within British Airways’ parent company, International Airlines Group (IAG). Sister airlines Aer Lingus, Iberia, Vueling, and LEVEL will also adopt Starlink Wi-Fi under the same plan. The move places BA among major European carriers like Air France, airBaltic, and Scandinavian Airlines already offering free Starlink service. With this upgrade, British Airways aims to enhance its in-flight experience and close the digital gap between air travel and ground connectivity.
