Caption: Louis Tomlinson brings TV into Glastonbury to watch England football match. England faced Slovakia in their Last 16 game on Sunday, but unlike in some previous years when the festival clashed with England tournament games, organisers did not put up a big screen so festivalgoers could catch the match. According to The Guardian journalist Gwilym Mumford, football fanatic Louis purchased a flatscreen TV and electric generator on to the festival site and set it up so he and pals could watch England. Louis and his fellow fans were initially distraught as for much of the match Slovakia led but England won 2-1 in extra time after a dramatic last minute turnaround and goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane. ”It's the second screen I've bought. The first got cracked.” β€œI wasn't going to take credit for it because it looked like we were going to lose in normal time, but now that we've equalised I'm happy to.” The newspaper reports that he had initially planned to set up the TV in the hospitality section but poor reception meant he had to bring it onto the main festival site instead - setting it up near a path not far from the Pyramid stage. A large crowd formed to watch the game with the One Direction star, reportedly prompting concerns from festival staff but after discussions Louis' screening was allowed to continue.
