Caption: US War Secretary's Plane Makes Emergency Landing in the UK. An aircraft carrying US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth made an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack appeared in its windshield, the Pentagon confirmed. Spokesperson Sean Parnell said the plane was returning from a NATO Defense Ministers' meeting in Belgium when it was forced to divert to RAF Mildenhall in England. The crew followed standard safety procedures, and everyone onboard, including Hegseth, was safe. Hegseth later posted on X: "All good. Thank God. Continue mission!”. The secretary was traveling on a C-32A, a VIP version of the Boeing 757, often used when Air Force One can't land on shorter runways. The cause of the crack remains unclear. Flight data showed the plane had passed Ireland before turning around. Normally, defense secretaries use the larger E-4B "Doomsday Plane", but it's unknown why Hegseth used a smaller aircraft. During his trip to Brussels, Hegseth warned Moscow of serious consequences if Russia's war on Ukraine continues. This is the second high-profile in-flight emergency this year involving a US official's plane. Instructions: THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
