Caption: Mike Johnson to Join Global Right-Wing Leaders at Turning Point Conference. House Speaker Mike Johnson is set to appear at an upcoming international conference organized by Turning Point Action, the conservative political group founded by Charlie Kirk. The event, called the Alliance of Sovereign Nations, will take place in Washington from March 4th to 6th and will bring together U.S. lawmakers and politicians from right-leaning parties across Europe. Among the scheduled guests is Markus Frohnmaier of Germany’s Alternative für Deutschland, or AfD, as well as representatives from Austria’s Freedom Party and Belgium’s Vlaams Belang - According to Politico. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, who helped initiate the event, says it aims to promote national sovereignty and challenge globalist institutions like Davos. Turning Point Action describes the gathering as a platform for “center-right” voices worldwide. However, parts of the AfD have been labeled extremist by German authorities — a designation the party is currently contesting in court. The conference highlights growing ties between some U.S. Republicans and Europe’s nationalist movements, as debates over democracy, migration, and free speech continue on both sides of the Atlantic.
