As the two chambers continue to argue, another potential government shutdown is on the horizon, as funding expires on Nov. 17. New House Speaker Mike Johnson said he's committed to passing a bill to help Ukraine after dealing with Israel first, but it would need to include border security provisions. And you've heard me say that we want to pair border security with Ukraine … If we're going to take care of a border in Ukraine, we need to take care of America's border as well.", House Speaker Mike Johnson, via statement.
