An agreement was reached between the parties on Friday, details of the settlement have not been disclosed. Ventura confirmed she had "decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control.” She added in a joint statement released with Combs, "I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.”Combs said: "We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.” The pair met in 2005, when Ventura was 19, and they began dating two years later. In the lawsuit, Ventura claimed Combs had forced her to have sex with male prostitutes, "plied her with drugs and alcohol" and had regularly beaten her. She also alleged Combs was “prone to uncontrollable rage” and accused him of raping her at her home in 2018 when she tried to end the relationship. Confirming a settlement had been reached, Ventura’s lawyer Douglas Wigdor paid tribute to his client on Friday. ”I am very proud of Ms Ventura for having the strength to go public with her lawsuit.
