Caption: Netflix Finally Releases Viewership Stats for Almost All of Its Shows. On Dec. 12, the streamer released "What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report'. The report ranks nearly all of Netflix's content by viewing hours from the past six months, CNBC reports. Viewing data for over 18,000 titles was included. The company plans to release an updated report every six months. Netflix has long been scrutinized for not being transparent about streaming data. Co-CEO Ted Sarandos said that the company previously kept this data private as it was experimenting and building its business to protect itself from competitors. "This is the actual data that we use to run the business. I’m the co-CEO of a public company, so sharing bad information has consequences." "This is probably more information than you need, but I think it creates a better environment for the guilds, for us, for the producers, for creators and for the press." Ted Sarandos, Netflix co-CEO, via statement. Netflix's most-watched show over the past six months was 'The Night Agent,' with 812 million viewing hours. 'Ginny & Georgia' came in second with 665 million viewing hours. 'The Glory,' 'Wednesday,' and 'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story' rounded out the top five with viewing hours of 622 million, 507 million and 503 million, respectively. The most-watched movie over the past six months was 'The Mother,' starring Jennifer Lopez. THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
