The prime minister said cooperation with France demonstrated what the two countries could achieve together, while Macron expressed his commitment to bringing Britain and France closer. The French president was visiting the UK primarily to mark the loan of the Bayeux Tapestry to the British Museum, where he met King Charles ahead of the medieval artwork going on public display next week.
