Unsurprisingly, the show was also named Best Musical Revival. Sherlock co-creator Mark Gatiss won the Best Actor trophy for his performance in The Motive and the Cue. Dear England, about the England football team's near misses in recent tournaments, won Best New Play, the Andrew Scott-starring revival of Anton Chekov's Uncle Vanya, Vanya, won Best Revival and Operation Mincemeat was named Best New Musical. The supporting actor prizes for dramatic plays were won by Haydn Gwynne for When Winston Went To War With The Wireless and Will Close, for Dear England. Their musical equivalents were won by Jak Malone for Operation Mincemeat and Amy Trigg for The Little Big Things.
