Once again, this year, many tourists who have flocked to the beauty spot on the Gower, have been seen pestering the horses for a selfie with their foals. Robert, who helps Nicky keeping a watchful eye on the horses, explains “It’s an important time of year. They are Mothers, and they have these beautiful foals, so everyone gets excited and the trouble is these days everyone wants a picture.” Nicky would like to leave the horses at Rhossili, as they have lived freely for many years as they have common grazing rights. Robert goes onto explain “We want everyone to enjoy Rhossili like the horses do. Nicky doesn’t want to take them away. But please, please, give them their space. If they are happy they will often come up to you to be honest. It’s a beautiful time of year with many animals giving birth… They just need the time to bond with their mother.”
