Caption: These images and this video show the consequences of massive Russian rocket shelling across the city of Zaporizhia on the morning of 8 May. Local emergency officials said in a statement: “The enemy attacked objects of critical and civilian infrastructure, a garage cooperative, one of the city's parks and urban electric transport. One of the fire parts of the city was also destroyed. The explosive wave and debris damaged the service premises and the facade of the building. “Rescuers, who arrived at the scene, conducted operations to search for suspected victims and eliminate the blaze that arose as a result of the explosions. Fortunately, there are no dead or injured.” The shelling occurred as Ukraine celebrated victory in the Second World War, an occasion marked on the day of Nazi surrender on 8 May, or Victory in Europe (VE) Day.
