Headline: Scientists Create Real-Life Spider-Man Web Fluid

Caption: Scientists have created a material mimicking Spider-Man's sticky web fluid. While researching adhesives, Tufts University discovered that silk from moth cocoons can be turned into a shootable, sticky protein solution. The liquid silk, shot from a device, solidifies in air, forming strings capable of lifting objects 80 times their weight. To create the threads, researchers boiled cocoons to extract silk fibroin, the key protein. Combining silk fibroin with dopamine accelerated solidification and increased tensile strength. Acetone triggered the silk's hardening, creating sticky fibres that can lift heavy objects. By adding chitosan and a borate buffer, they enhanced the fibres' strength and adhesiveness, successfully lifting items like a steel bolt and a scalpel.
