Headline: UNCAPTIONED: Harvard Offers Workaround After Pentagon Ban on Military Students

Caption: Harvard Offers Workaround After Pentagon Ban on Military Students. Harvard University is offering a workaround after U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth banned military personnel from participating in programs linked to the school. In response, Harvard University will allow active-duty troops who were accepted to the Harvard Kennedy School to defer their admission for up to four years — far longer than the usual one-year deferral. The move could allow military students to delay their studies until a future administration - According to Politico. Harvard is also helping affected students apply to other universities that are still approved by the Pentagon. These include programs at University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, The Fletcher School at Tufts University, Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, and Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. In a letter to prospective students, Kennedy School dean Jeremy Weinstein said the university remains committed to ensuring military students receive the education they deserve — even if that means studying elsewhere for now. The Pentagon has not commented on Harvard’s plan. Instructions: THIS VIDEO MUST NOT BE EDITED FOR LENGTH TO COMBINE WITH OTHER CONTENT
