Caption: Kia Hits Record October Sales But Electric Models Continue To Falter. Kia has reported its best October ever, selling just over 69,000 vehicles last month — a modest gain over the same period last year. The Sportage continues to lead the pack, with more than 16,000 units sold, up 17.4 percent from 2024. Meanwhile, the K4 sedan and Telluride SUV both slipped, down 22.6 and 11.6 percent, but rising demand for the Carnival and K5 helped balance the losses. So far this year, Kia has sold over 705,000 vehicles, marking an 8 percent increase overall. But the automaker’s electric lineup continues to struggle. Sales of the EV9 and EV6 plunged dramatically, down 65.7 and 70.7 percent in October, following the expiration of the federal EV tax credit. Despite the downturn in electric sales, Kia’s strong performance in crossovers and sedans is keeping its momentum going into the final months of 2025.
