The storm struck Zhejiang province with winds of up to 150km/h before making a second landfall near Wenzhou. The typhoon disrupted transport across the region, with around 1,400 flights cancelled in Shanghai alone. Authorities warned of torrential rain, severe flooding and landslides as the storm moved inland. Hundreds of thousands of residents were relocated in cities across Zhejiang, with more than 1,000 emergency shelters opened in Wenzhou. Several tourist attractions, including parts of Disneyland and Legoland, were also closed as floodwaters spread across Shanghai. The storm also caused deaths and injuries in the Philippines and Japan before reaching China.
