The boat features a movable 'basket' that can be lowered below the water's surface, enabling underwater exploration while remaining seated motorcycle-style. An onboard compressor supplies air to special facemasks via retractable hoses. For those who wish to dive further, traditional diving gear can be stowed onboard. The basket is equipped with six air tanks and oil-less Nardi Compressori compressors for breathing air, providing an accessible and comfortable underwater experience. First floated as a concept over a decade ago, the Platypus could be cruising the seas by early 2025. The project has just received a zero-emission boost thanks to a new partnership between Platypus Craft and electric outboard manufacturer Evoy.
