Eurogamer report that Sony are following the move already made by Microsoft and Blizzard and are opting to drop support for the struggling social media platform formerly known as Twitter. Sony made the announcement on its support site at playstation.com. “As of November 13, 2023, integration with X (formerly known as Twitter) will no longer function on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles.” "This includes the ability to view any content published on X on PS5/PS4, and the ability to post and view content, trophies, and other gameplay-related activities on X directly from PS5/PS4 (or link an X account to do so).” Aside from the announcement, Sony didn’t offer up any specific reason, however its most likely that changes to the Twitter API as a result of Blizzard removing Twitter integration from Wow earlier this year, are the culprit.
